Ruqyah Plan: A Guide to Spiritual Healing

Ruqyah is the recitation of Quranic verses and supplications for protection and healing. It serves as a powerful means to combat sihr (black magic), possession, evil eye, and other spiritual afflictions. However, the true cure comes from Allah, and Ruqyah is simply a means of seeking His help.

To achieve effective healing, it is essential to:

Have strong Tawheed (belief in the oneness of Allah).

Remain consistent in obligatory prayers and daily Adhkar.

Place firm Tawakkul (reliance) on Allah, knowing that all healing is from Him.

Be patient and persistent, as some afflictions take time to heal—especially if severe.

This guide outlines a comprehensive Ruqyah plan that includes spiritual practices, Quranic recitations, prophetic remedies, and home purification methods to help restore spiritual and physical well-being.

Essential Items for Ruqyah

To follow this plan effectively, you will need:

  • Water (preferably Zamzam, but mineral or tap water will suffice)
  •  Honey (raw or Ruqyah honey)
  • Black Seeds (whole or oil)
  • Olive Oil (light-textured for easy application)
  • Ajwah Dates

1. Daily Ruqyah Routine

Morning & Evening Adhkar

Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said:

> “The morning and evening Adhkar play the role of a shield; the thicker it is, the more its owner is protected. Rather, its strength can reach such an extent that the arrow shot at it will bounce back to affect the one who shot it.”

Make consistent recitation of morning and evening Adhkar a priority.

These Adhkar serve as spiritual armor against harm.

You can find a recommended Adhkar section on our website, In Sha Allah.

Quranic Recitation

Recite 1/3 of Surah Al-Baqarah daily (~18 pages) to complete it every 3 days.

Other powerful Surahs for Ruqyah:

  • Surah Yaseen
  • Surah Al-Jinn
  • Surah Ar-Rahman
  • Surah Al-Falaq, An-Nas, and Al-Ikhlas
  • Ayat-ul-Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah: 255)

Listening to Ruqyah Audio

Play Ruqyah Shariah audios regularly in your home.

Focus on Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat-ul-Kursi, and Ruqyah recitations.

Our audio section provides a range of Ruqyah recordings tailored to different afflictions.

2. Ruqyah Healing Remedies & Application

Ruqyah Water

How to prepare:

1. Fill a clean container or bottle with water.

2. Recite Quranic verses over it while keeping the bottle close to your mouth.

3. Recommended verses: Surah Al-Fatiha, Ayat-ul-Kursi, Surah Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas.

4. Dry spit lightly into the water after each Surah.

5. Shake the bottle occasionally and use within 3-4 days.

Usage: Drink throughout the day and use in cooking. Do not dilute it—make a fresh batch when needed.

Ruqyah Olive Oil

How to prepare: Recite Quranic verses over olive oil, using the same method as Ruqyah water.

How to use:

  • Apply before sleeping over the entire body, including scalp and affected areas.
  • For severe afflictions, drink one tablespoon twice daily on an empty stomach.
  • Use with caution if you have skin sensitivities.

Black Seed Oil & Seeds

Apply Black Seed Oil to areas of pain, tension, or knots.

Alternatively, consume a pinch of black seeds every morning.

Use with caution if you have sensitive skin.

Honey

Take one teaspoon of Ruqyah honey or raw honey with Ruqyah water first thing in the morning.

Honey is a powerful remedy mentioned in the Quran (Surah An-Nahl: 69) for healing.

Ajwah Dates

Eat at least seven Ajwah dates in the morning and evening on an empty stomach.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

> “Whoever eats seven Ajwah dates in the morning will not be harmed by poison or magic that day.” (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim)

Ruqyah Bath

A Ruqyah bath helps weaken the effects of sihr.

Perform it for seven consecutive days.

Detailed instructions can be found in the Ruqyah Bath section of our website.

Hijama (Cupping Therapy)

Have Hijama (cupping) once a month for general healing.

If dealing with severe afflictions, Hijama on the head every three months is beneficial.

3. Ruqyah of the Home: Spiritual Cleansing & Protection

Purify Your Home Environment

A home that is spiritually cleansed fosters peace, protection, and barakah.

  • Remove images of living beings from walls.
  • Play or recite Surah Al-Baqarah regularly—Shaytan flees from a home where it is recited.
  • Be consistent with reading Duas when entering/leaving the house, eating, sleeping, and using the toilet.
  • Close doors and windows at Maghrib, saying Bismillah.
  • Cover food and drink to prevent exposure to unseen harm.
  • Spray the home with Ruqyah water after daily prayers.
  • Remove any items related to shirk, such as amulets (taweez) or objects believed to bring luck.

Final Thoughts

Healing requires patience, consistency, and reliance on Allah alone.

By following this Ruqyah plan, you are taking active steps toward spiritual and physical well-being.

Trust in Allah’s mercy, stay steadfast, and continue to seek protection through Quran, Sunnah, and prescribed remedies.

May Allah grant you complete shifa (healing) and protection. Ameen.
